Each year, AAUW Eugene-Lane names a recipient of our UO Senior Woman Award “for outstanding achievements in the areas of service to the university, service to the community, and lifetime goals.” We sorted through 27 applicants this year and selected Julia Liu as our award winner.
Julia is a University of Oregon senior originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a sociology major with a minor in chemistry, and is a Clark Honors College student. She hopes to become a primary care physician in the future, with a focus on public health. After graduating, she will take a gap year and prepare to apply for MPH/MD dual-degree programs. She is grateful for the supportive friends she has made at UO, and has enjoyed conversations with people from various backgrounds. Outside of academics, she enjoys hiking and travelling. She is always excited to visit new places or try new food. She also enjoys expressing herself through poetry, photography, and music.
Congratulations to Julia!
