March promises to be a busy month for our Civics, History and Political Science (CHiPS) initiative, advocating for an informed and engaged citizenry. On our radar screen, we’re collaborating with the Classroom Law Project to offer financial and volunteer support as we’re able for the Oregon State Mock Trials Competition, and a Lane County Courthouse Tour for Willamette High School students.

Lane County Circuit Courthouse Tour

WHO:  Willamette High School (WHS) students
WHERE:  Lane County Circuit Courthouse
WHEN:  March 10, 2020, 8 am – noon

HOW TO HELP: WHS teacher Lena needs additional volunteer chaperones for her class courthouse tour. The courthouse requires 1 adult for every 8 students. To volunteer, contact Cathy Meyer.
